*Click*

One of the things I like to do is making photos. Calling it a hobby is a big word. But when I am going on vacation or to some kind of event, I take my camera with me.

So with what do I shoot?. Well here is my equipment:

I love this camera. It is bought in the days that budget DSLR camera's like the Canon 300D and the Nikon D70 didn't exist. I am planning to use this camera for 3 or 4 years to come and to learn more about making photos (I avoid the word photography on purpouse) after that I am planning to buy a DSLR.

Why am I telling you this? Well it is a bit of a teaser of the pictures I plan to show here from time to time on my blog ;-)

"Under construction"

Well you probably have seen it on multiple sites. I was googling for 'under construction' pictures. Well I can't recommend it. Anyways, this blog is a bit under construction too. My good old pal Cocles was already complementing my choice of the template. So for me a good reason to change it ;-)

So bear with me while I am making changes to the template these days/weeks

Scuba diving

I have returned recentlyfrom a week to the very nice Spanish island Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea. I am definately not a beach guy. When I am going on vacation I like to walk/hike through the mountains. But I managed quite well with my gameboy on the beach. :-) Golden Sun is an awesome game.

Anyways I experienced something new over there: scuba diving. My brother did it already a couple of times and convinced me to go diving with him and with an instructor of course. One of the weirdest things I have done. Imagine yourself 6 metres below surface and you can breath... wtf? Problem is that if you have an itch under your nose you cannot scratch :-) The first half an hour it was very weird, very hard to get used to breathing, especially when you get salt water in your mouth. Trying to float in the water is hard to, it depends on a mix of oxygen in the lungs, air in your suit and lead weights on your waist. I have a very large lung capacity due to playing tuba for many years and found it hard to float. If I take a deep breath I will float to the surface.

In a nutshell, if you are curious about it, definately go for it if the opportunity is there. If you are in doubt... in my opinion do not waste your money, it is a pretty expensive hobby. I definately will go again, problem is that they do no have a lot of beaches in the mountains.

Congratulations

Well you have found my blog, congratulations. If you expect a dozen posts every day, I am afraid you are in the wrong place ;-) When I have something on my mind I will try to write it down. Time will tell if I keep my word.

Oh and one other thing, don't be bothered by my typos. :-)
